Will PresenterMedia work with Articulate Studio 09?

This is one of the questions we've been receiving more frequently as of late, so it's time to take a look at this E-course style addin to PowerPoint.

If you're wondering what Articulate is, basically it is a combination of PowerPoint slides, quizzes, and interactive learning tools, all put into a convenient ribbon located right inside of PowerPoint.  Let's go ahead now and take a quick look at each of our download types and how they work in Studio '09.

Templates: Our templates are able to be displayed by themselves, with all static images appearing as normal, including the coloration and patterns.  Engage can even be displayed in front of the templates, making it appear as though it is truly integrated into the presentation as a whole.  Here's a link showing how to display templates behind Engage features in PowerPoint:

You can also have the same effect with Quizmaker, allowing you to have consistency in your presentation while being able to use the features of Articulate Presenter 09 to its full capabilities.  If you are handy with Flash, you can even make the quizzes completely transparent, allowing the entirety of the template to show through.

Clip Art:  These items will display normally within any Media option in Presenter, Quizmaker, or Engage.

Animations: These items will display only if downloaded as SWF (Flash) images.  We do have SWF available as a standard download option on all of our animations, simply click the quick download link, or customize the color and background color using our color corrector to be able to customize the animation.  These files can be inserted anywhere Media would be inserted in Presenter (Add Flash Video), Engage (Media) or Quizmaker (Media) and will play on one loop.

HD Video backgrounds: Our HD video backgrounds are able to be downloaded as FLV (Flash) video files as well, and may be inserted into all locations the same as our animations.  These video backgrounds display beautifully in full slide view and run for 10-30 seconds on a single loop.  As with PowerPoint 2007, Articulate does not enable text to display over top of the flash video files, so keep that in mind, and build in a small area so your text can be properly displayed.

Once you've inserted the content, used the master slide for the background, and previewed your masterpiece, it is ready for publishing.
